FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS!

What kind of pets does Dr. Bleish have at  home?

Two domestic short haired cats and two dogs.

What should I feed my pet?

We recommend Hill's Science Diet.  That's what we feed in our kennel and that's what Dr. Bleish feeds his pets at home.

How much should I feed my pet?

1 1/2 cups of Science Diet or Hill's Prescription Diet Pet food for every 15 pounds.  Other premium brands, follow their directions on their bags or call their 1-800 numbers and ask for assistance.

Why can't I give my dog chicken bones -- he loves them!!

Bones can splinter and get caught in the dogs stomach or intestinal tract and your pet can end up having emergency surgery.  We recommend feeding NO BONES!  Get your pet some Greenies to chew every day and that will help curb their need to chew and help clean their teeth and freshen their breath!

What is your billing policy?

We require payment at time of service.  We accept cash, personal check with ID and credit cards including MasterCard, Visa, Discover Card, and American Express.  All invoices must be paid in full when the pet is released.

What is pet insurance?

The goal of the Animal Care Team is to provide the best quality health care possible for your family pets.

We believe that by providing the highest level of compassion and education to our owners and the latest surgery, radiology and laboratory equipment and a well trained staff, that we will be able to reach that goal.

We will treat your pets like they are our own, and will provide them with lots of tender loving care!

One of the things that an owner can do is to buy Pet Insurance and that will give the owner more options when it comes to making financial decisions when it comes to caring for their pets.

We cannot make a recommendation for a specific insurance company, but we will provide you with the contact information of several pet insurance companies so that you can check them out.

The one thing that we would recommend is to try to go with a company that has been in business for a lengthy time and will provide you will names and phone numbers that you can call and ask customers what they think about the insurance policy and service that they receive.

We do not fill in or process the paper work for any of the insurance companies.  The owner pays us up front and we give you two copies of your receipts.  You send one into your insurance company with the appropriate paperwork to get reimbursement.
