Steven V. Bleish, DVM

Owner of the Animal Clinic of Platte County since 1981.

His veterinary career started when he graduated from Kansas State University in 1977 and then went on to work in Dubuque, Iowa, and St. Louis, Missouri. 

In 1981, he moved to Kansas City and opened the Animal Clinic of Platte County.  He has been happy to be an active member of the local and veterinary community.

Dr. Bleish has been a member and Past President of Rotary since 1983.  He has been a member of Parkville Presbyterian Church for many years (past Deacon, currently Sunday School Teacher).  Dr. Bleish plays the clarinet in the Parkville Community Band.

He belongs to the following veterinary organizations: Missouri Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, and the Kansas City Veterinary Association.

With his wife Mary Ann, he has two adult daughters, Catherine and Jenny, two dogs and three cats. They enjoy traveling as a family and enjoy planning a trip on the Katy Trail.  Some of their favorite trips as a family have been to Makinac Island, Estes Park, CO, Gulf Shores, and the Smokey Mountains.

He looks forward to including you in "our family" at the Animal Clinic of Platte County.

 

Mary Ann (Adrian) Bleish, MBA

Business Manager

She worked with Dr. Bleish at a veterinary hospital in St. Louis.  Three years later they got married and moved to Kansas City to open the Animal Clinic of Platte County. She has been with the practice since 1981 when it opened.  

She graduated from Missouri Western State College in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in accounting.  In 1999 she received her MBA from Park University in Parkville.

Her past work experience includes supervisor for the computer department for Sears, the Internal Revenue Services Receipt and Control Department, and Customer Service Representative for Macy's. She has enjoyed teaching in the Business Department at Park University.

She enjoys traveling with husband, Dr. Bleish and their daughters Catherine and Jenny.  She also enjoys researching genealogy and working on restoring photographs and old family history, as well as scrap booking current family outings.  She and Dr. Bleish enjoy visiting their daughters, going to veterinary conventions and traveling.
